Kellogg lane closures in east Wichita begin Sunday. They’ll last through December
A road patching project on eastbound Kellogg from Hillside Street to Webb Road in Wichita will require lane closures through December.
The left lane will close Sunday, Aug. 4, and remain closed for the entire four-mile stretch during construction. The center lane will close in the evenings to allow crews to work on the $1.4 million patching project.
“What’s going to happen is at 7 o’clock [p.m.] they’re going to start setting up and by 9 o’clock it will be a two-lane closure,” KDOT spokesperson J.B. Wilson said. The center lane is expected to reopen by 6 a.m.
The project is expected to conclude by late December, conditions permitting, KDOT said in a press release. During construction, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 miles per hour in the work zone.
