Wichita’s airport named one of the best small airports. See where you can fly to
Newsweek released its ranking of 10 best small airports in the United States, and Wichita’s very own Dwight D. Eisenhower airport made the list.
The 10 airports were selected by a panel of experts and Newsweek contributors and then voted on by readers. Dwight D. Eisenhower airport, 2277 Eisenhower Airport Pkwy., was ranked 10th.
The airport services six major airlines and offers 16 direct flights. Newsweek reports that 1.7 million people travel through the Wichita airport annually.
The airport also has six dining options: Aviators Cafe, Air Capital Bar, Chick-fil-A, Grab & Fly, River City Brewing and Dunkin’ Donuts.
If you’re planning on traveling in or out of the Wichita airport sometime soon, you may notice that the public Wi-Fi and arrival and departure screens are not currently available. That’s due to a cyberattack that occurred in early May. While some services are back online, some are still impacted by the incident.
