3-car crash near Kellogg and Oliver sends 2 Wichita officers, 2 others to hospital

A crash in east Wichita involving three vehicles, one of them a police vehicle, sent four people to the hospital Sunday night.

The crash was reported at 7:25 p.m. at Kellogg Drive and Oliver. A Wichita Police Department Ford Explorer with two officers in it was southbound on Oliver with its emergency equipment on when it was hit by a 2005 Hyundai Elantra driving east on Kellogg Drive. The police SUV overturned and struck a 2010 Cadillac SUV that was northbound on Oliver, a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log report shows.

The two officers in the police vehicle are men ages 27 and 24, the Hyundai driver was a 30-year-old man and the Cadillac driver was a 53-year-old woman. All four were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to the crash log.
