Baby dies after being run over by a family member in Butler County, sheriff says
A child died after being run over by a family member in a vehicle on Friday in Butler County, a news release from the Butler County Sheriff’s office said.
Around 4:05 p.m., Butler County emergency crews responded to a call of an unresponsive child in the 500 block of S. Main in Leon, the release said.
The 21-month-old boy “had been run over by a vehicle in the driveway of the home by a family member,” according to the release.
The child was taken to Wesley Medical Center in extremely critical condition and later died from his injuries, the release said.
The incident is being investigated as accidental, the release says.
