Wichita police have identified a man who died Saturday night after his truck left the roadway and crashed into two trees.

The man who died in the crash was identified as 27-year-old Chandler Christiansen of Wichita, police spokesman Chad Ditch said in a news release

The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. Around 8:20 p.m., officers were sent to Kellogg just west of I-135 for an injury accident. Officers found Christiansen unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Ditch said.

Police learned Christiansen had been traveling westbound on Kellogg in a white 2007 GMC Sierra when he attempted to exit on Washington Street. He lost control of the truck and it left the road. The truck crashed into two trees and he was thrown out of the vehicle, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing.
