Man stabbed in throat during argument
Wichita police were called to the 1600 block of South Broadway, near Harry, shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday in response to a stabbing report.
When they arrived, they found a 50-year-old man with a severe laceration to his throat, according to Sgt. John Ryan, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
The man had been stabbed by an acquaintance, another 50-year-old man, Ryan said. The two became involved in a disagreement and one stabbed the other in the throat, Ryan said.
The victim was rushed to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in serious condition.
Wichita police are searching for the suspect.
