A man is dead after his motorcycle was struck by a car Sunday afternoon in Wichita.

The motorcyclist has been identified as 40-year-old Dennis Bunker of Wichita, police spokesperson Chad Ditch said in a news release.

The incident happened around 4:10 p.m. in the 1900 block of W. MacArthur Road. Bunker was riding eastbound on MacArthur on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a 2002 Saturn SL that was turning southbound into a private driveway, Ditch said.

When officers arrived, they found Bunker unconscious. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died, according to Ditch.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Police don’t think speed or alcohol contributed to the crash, Ditch added.
