Blocks of Douglas will be closed in this business district for road work this week
Douglas Avenue between Osage and McLean in the Delano business district will be closed for a new asphalt surface for four days starting Monday, Aug. 22.
Parking stalls in front of the businesses will also get a new surface.
The northbound and southbound roads that cross Douglas will still be open and so will the sidewalks in front of the businesses, which will still be open as well. The asphalt surface is the second phase of road improvements for that area, with the first being completed earlier this month.
The construction is part of the 2022 Outsourced Pavement Preservation Program which includes $11.5 million in road improvements throughout the city.
