Update Saturday:

Police said the man who died was 34-year-old Garrett Harbert, of Wichita.

Park City Police Chief Phil Bostian said Harbert was headed south on Hydraulic on a motorcycle and the truck was headed north. The driver of the truck tried to turn left in front of Harbert and into a business when they collided, he said.

He said an accident reconstruction would help them better understand any factors in the wreck, including speed, and it would take a few weeks.

Original Wednesday:

One person died in a wreck involving a motorcycle and a truck Wednesday morning in Park City, according to Park City police Sgt. Chris Shields.

The crash was called in at 5:57 a.m. in the 5300 block of North Hydraulic. Shields said the driver of the Dodge Dakota truck was headed north and the motorcycle was headed south. A man from the Wichita area died, he said.

Police were still working to figure out the details of what happened. During an 8:45 a.m. briefing, Shields wouldn’t say if the person who died was on the motorcycle or in the truck.

Police had 45th and 53rd blocked off as of 8:45 a.m.
