Bottled water, robo calls: Wichita community reacts to being told to boil water

The boil water advisory issued around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday quickly spread through the city’s various media outlets and across social media, but some Wichitans hinted these may not be the best ways to inform people to not drink the water.

Some residents say they didn’t know about it well after the advisory was issued; others strongly suggested “robo calls” would be a better method.

The Wichita Fire Department chimed in on a different aspect of the advisory.

And we can’t forget about the inevitability of people rushing to the store to buy bottled water. The Wichita Fire Department once again had something to say.
