Pedestrian rushed to hospital after being struck by vehicle in south Wichita, police say

A pedestrian was critically injured when hit by a vehicle just after 10 a.m. Thursday in south Wichita, a 911 emergency communications supervisor said.

The accident happened near MacArthur and Seneca. EMS took the person to a hospital with critical injuries, the supervisor said.

An earlier accident happened a few miles away around 9:42 a.m. at 63rd Street South and Southern, which is just east of Seneca. Two people died in that collision, a supervisor said.
