Marion County sheriff dies from COVID-19 complications, sheriff’s office says

Marion County Sheriff Robert Craft died Wednesday evening from COVID-19 complications, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

Craft was elected Marion County sheriff in 2008, a press release says. Before that, he served in the United States Marine Corps and worked for the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The Marion County Emergency Communications shared their condolences in a Facebook post.
