Family remember slain Wichita mother who always had a smile on her face
Bonnie Galloway was a mother of three who had an infectious smile and loved to take pictures, her sister said.
Galloway, 38, of Wichita, died on Sunday after a shooting in south Wichita, police spokesperson Charley Davidson said.
Galloway was a mother of three boys and a very outgoing person, her sister, April Robbins, said.
“She never knew what a stranger was. She would walk up and befriend you in an instant,” Robbins said.
Galloway loved being surrounded by friends. “She’s the one person who didn’t have to worry about talking behind your back because she had your back behind your back,” Robbins said.
Connor O’ Callaghan, 30, of Wichita, also was found dead in the home. Robbins said Galloway and O’ Callaghan were friends.
Brandon Prouse Jr., 20, of Wichita, has been arrested in connection with the shooting, Davidson said.
Prouse and the victims knew each other, Davidson added.
The Eagle reached out to Callaghan’s family for a comment, but did not hear back.
A GoFundMe has been set up by Robbins to cover funeral expenses for Galloway.
