Part of Waco shut down by water line break near 13th Street

A water line break forced the closure of Waco through most of Tuesday morning, forcing commuters who use that street to find an alternate route.

The break was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. between 11th and 12th streets, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said. Repairs were expected to take several hours.

Crews were hoping to have the street reopened by noon, the dispatcher said.
