Woman reports being kidnapped, robbed by 4 men

Police are investigating an unusual kidnapping incident from early Saturday morning and have yet to find four suspects in the case.

Officers were dispatched at 1:45 a.m. to a house in the 1500 block of East El Monte when a 19-year-old female resident reported being kidnapped for a short time that night.

She said she was standing outside her home when a car with four males, unknown ages, approached her. She said one of the men had a handgun and forced her inside the car.

They drove to a nearby QuikTrip at South Hydraulic and Wassall, took her debit card, went inside and withdrew $300 in cash. The men then drove her back toward her house and pushed her out of the car about a block from her home.

Police said because it was dark at the time, and the woman was accosted at gunpoint, she only gave vague descriptions of the men and the car. She was not injured during the incident.

The Wichita Police Department said it had not yet reviewed surveillance video but that detectives will follow up with the case on Monday.
