Stories of two Wichita couples – one married and one planning to marry

Although same-sex couples could be married in Sedgwick County since last fall, the situation was still uncertain. And gay couples did not receive all the same privileges as straight couples.

So when the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that states may not pass laws preventing the marriage of gay couples, that opened the door for couples who had been waiting for the legal situation to be clarified. Some have waited years.

Here are two of their stories.
