A 28-year-old Eudora man died late Friday when his SUV drove off of U.S. 160 in Stanton County and rolled into a ditch.

Bryce L. Stude was driving the 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe east on the highway near milepost 17 when the vehicle “left the roadway for an unknown reason” around 11:40 p.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report. Stude overcorrected in an attempt to right himself on the highway but ended up rolling an “undetermined amount of times” and landed in the ditch, the report said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Stanton County is in southwestern Kansas along the Colorado border.
