Sheriff identifies driver of truck who died in Tuesday train crash near Maize
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman who died Tuesday afternoon when her truck struck a train west of Maize near 53rd Street North and 135th Street West.
Thirty-six-year-old Ana Hirai Guerrero-Dominguez of Maize was driving the Chevy Silverado with two teenage passengers when she struck the eastbound train, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
The two unnamed passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital. The sheriff’s office did not provide an update on their condition Wednesday.
