Girl Scouts to hold open house Saturday
The Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland Wichita regional office is hosting an open house Saturday for children and their families interested in learning more about scouting.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 360 Lexington Road, near Kellogg and Edgemoor. In addition to information about how to join Girl Scouts and upcoming events, it will offer hands-on crafts and activities for kids, including a take-home s’mores kit.
Adults interested in volunteering with the Girl Scouts are also invited.
Wichita’s open house is one of five scheduled at regional offices statewide this month. The others are:
▪ Salina – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4, 3115 Enterprise Drive, Suite C
▪ Hays – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4, 2707 Vine St., Suite 8
▪ Garden City – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 11, 114 Grant Ave.
▪ Emporia – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 18, 1200 Burlingame Road
