Author to speak at Newman on mental illness awareness
Bill MacPhee, a Canadian author who has written on his struggles with schizophrenia, will speak Sunday night at Newman University’s Dugan Gorges Conference Center.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is being held to kick off Mental Illness Awareness Week. A reception will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by MacPhee’s talk.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness Wichita is sponsoring the event.
