Explosion at southwest Wichita plastic plant injures one
One person was transported to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis with minor injuries after a reported explosion at Wescon Plastics on Wednesday evening, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said.
The explosion, thought to be chemical-related, was reported shortly after 8 p.m., the dispatcher said. Two others who received minor injuries did not want emergency medical services.
The cause of the explosion is unknown, the dispatcher said.
