Wichita Crime Commission hires new executive director

The Wichita Crime Commission has a new executive director.

The organization, perhaps most publicly known for Crime Stoppers, its anonymous tip line program, announced Wednesday that Pat Jones will lead the organization.

Jones most recently has worked as a private consultant for Project Access, which helps the uninsured with medical insurance. Before that, she served as executive director of Dress for Success of Wichita for more than 10 years.

“We are confident that she will be a tremendous asset to our organization moving forward,” Chris Steincamp, board chairman for the commission, said in a news release.

Jones replaces Gordon Bassham, who resigned as the commission’s executive director in January. Bassham now works at KSN-TV.
