Wichita woman dies in two-vehicle accident in Manhattan, officials say
An 83-year-old Wichita woman died in a two-vehicle accident Friday in Manhattan, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Sylvia A. Harden was on the entrance ramp to K-18, driving a 2014 Buick LaCrosse, when she “turned left in the lane” of another vehicle, according to the KHP crash log. The driver of a 2013 Ford F-650 hit Harden’s car on the driver’s side, the report says.
The vehicles came to rest on the shoulder and median. The crash was reported at 11:50 a.m.
Harden died from her injuries. The 55-year-old Abilene man driving the truck was not injured.
