Farm tractor hit by train in Kansas, killing 21-year-old man and derailing the train
A Monday afternoon train accident in Kansas killed the driver of a farm tractor, officials said.
The train derailed after colliding with a farm tractor that was pulling disc equipment about 5 miles northwest of Halstead, the Harvey County public affairs office said in a news release. The 21-year-old man driving the tractor was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified as Taylor Koehn, of Halstead.
Investigators determined the tractor was southbound on South River Park Road and crossing the railroad tracks near Southwest 24th Street when the wreck happened at around 3:15 p.m.
