Small plane lands on highway in Butler County
A small plane landed safely on Highway 77 in Butler County on Friday afternoon, according to an emergency dispatch operator.
The dispatcher didn’t know why the plane landed there or if the pilot had planned to try and make it to the El Dorado/Captain Jack Thomas Memorial Airport, which was about 2 miles away.
Dispatch was called at 2:29 p.m. by motorists who saw the small plane land in the southbound lane of Highway 77 between SE 20th and 30th, the dispatcher said.
The two people in the plane were OK, she said.
