One person killed and one injured in south Wichita crash
The Wichita Police Department has identified the Wichita man who was killed in a wreck Thursday night in south Wichita.
Malik Hayden, 22, was killed in the wreck near Seneca and Greenfield. A 23-year-old woman who was in the car, was injured and remains hospitalized, officer Kevin Wheeler said in a news release Friday.
Police were called about the crash at around 8 p.m.
Wheeler said Hayden was driving a Chevrolet Malibu north on Seneca when the car left the road and hit a tree.
It was the 12th fatality in a crash so far this year, Wheeler said.
