71-year-old Kansas man shot in hunting accident, game wardens say

A 71-year-old Park City man was shot in a hunting accident Tuesday in Greenwood County, law enforcement officials said.

Emergency crews were called to a reported accidental shooting at around 4 p.m. in a rural area in the 200 block of F75 Road, Greenwood County Sheriff Heath Samuels said in a news release.

A sheriff’s deputy found the Park City man with a gunshot wound to his left hand and forearm. A tourniquet was placed on his arm before an Eagle Med helicopter took him to a Wichita hospital.

Game wardens with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism said in a Facebook post that the shooting was a hunting accident.
