Wichita man critically injured after wreck with semi truck
A 31-year-old Wichita man remains in critical condition after the box truck he was driving ran into the side of a semi truck Monday afternoon near 101st and K-96 in Sedgwick County.
Tyler D. Mason was taken to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis hospital after the wreck at around 3:20 p.m. Staff listed him in critical condition on Tuesday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Mason was headed east on K-96 when he hit the side of a semi truck trailer blocking the lane. The semi truck driver, 64-year-old Wilbert L. Reed of Wichita, was attempting to turn from 101st west onto K-96, the report stated.
Reed was not injured.
