Wichita woman crowned Miss Kansas
Hannah Marie Wagner of Wichita was crowned Miss Kansas on Saturday night in Pratt.
Wagner, 19, is a freshman at Wichita State University majoring in business. She danced ballet in the talent portion of the competition and lists fighting women’s complacency in the workplace as her platform issue.
Wagner calls herself “hometown proud” in a questionnaire she filled out for the pageant.
“I love the people, the buildings, the events and the food that surround this state,” she said in the questionnaire. “I hope to always stay in Kansas because there’s no place like home!”
