Car slides into Wichita canal at I-135 and K-15. No injuries reported, dispatch says

No one was hurt after a car crashed into the canal along I-135 in south Wichita on Friday.

Emergency crews were called at around 4:20 p.m. to a reported submersion with a vehicle rolled into the canal at I-135 and K-15. A Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said one person was reported to have made it out of the vehicle with no injuries.

Crews removed the white car from near the canal bridge of the K-15 entrance ramp onto northbound I-135. The ramp remains open onto the interstate.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating.
