Man dies after crashing four-wheeler into tree at State Lake, Kansas sheriff says
A Kansas sheriff’s office said a 29-year-old man died after crashing an all-terrain vehicle into a tree at a lake.
Deputies were called on Monday to the Labette Health Emergency Room in Independence, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. A person had been taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle after a four-wheeler wreck.
The wreck happened when the driver crashed the ATV into a tree on the north side of State Lake, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators determined the crash was an accident.
The driver, identified as Jacob M. Morse, 29, died of his injuries at the hospital.
