5 girls considered endangered runaways sought by Newton police
Newton police are looking for five girls who left a youth care facility and are considered endangered runaways.
The girls went missing from the facility sometime overnight, the Newton Police Department posted Thursday afternoon on its Facebook page. Authorities would not give further information about their departure. They said the girls may be in danger.
The five are identified as Jasmine Bell, 16; Adriana Doolin, 14; Sidney N. Rhoten-Young, 17; Stephanie Grounds, 16; and Ke’Aira Baker, 16.
Police Chief Jim Daily said the girls left the facility late Wednesday or early Thursday.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts can call 911 or leave a tip on the Newton Police Department’s Facebook page by clicking the “Submit A Tip” tab toward the top of the page.
