Delta flight leaving Wichita airport for Atlanta returns after ‘pressure issue’

A Delta flight departing from Wichita returned to the airport after a “pressure issue,” emergency crews said.

Fire crews were dispatched to an airport emergency at Gate 8 of Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said.

Departing Delta flight 2567 traveling to Atlanta returned after a reported “pressure issue,” airport police and fire Chief Roger Xanders said in a tweet. The aircraft was an McDonnell Douglas MD 88 with 141 passengers on board. No injuries were reported.

The flight is listed as delayed with an estimated departure time of 10 p.m., airport logs show. It was originally scheduled to leave Wichita at 5:04 p.m.
