Power outage hits west Wichita
More than 2,000 Westar Energy customers in west Wichita were without electricity Monday morning.
The outage affected traffic signals on West Street at Central and Second, according to police scanner traffic. The outage was first reported shortly after 8 a.m.
Westar estimated on its website that power would be restored to the affected area by 10:30 a.m. A cause for the outage has not been given.
