Man, woman injured when antique gun discharges
Two people were hospitalized after what’s thought to be an .45-caliber antique gun accidentally discharged Friday in the 5300 block of South Broadway.
Authorities said a man and a woman were taken to Wesley Medical Center after being struck by a round from the firearm about 4:40 p.m. One suffered a wound to the hand; the other was shot in the arm. Both suffered minor injuries, a Sedgwick County Dispatcher said.
The pair apparently had the gun in a vehicle around the time it went off.
