Sheriff’s deputy injured in weekend collision recovering at home

A Sedgwick County sheriff’s deputy who was injured in a collision in Park City Saturday is recovering at home after being released from the hospital, authorities said Wednesday.

The deputy, Jacki Cinotto, was traveling north on Broadway with lights and siren activated shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday when a Mitsubishi Mirage ran a stop sign on 85th Street in Park City and hit the patrol car, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Cinotto, 32, was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis for treatment.

“I do not have any information that she would not be able to return to duty” at some point, Lt. Lin Dehning said.

The driver of the Mitsubishi Mirage, 23-year-old Ashley Parker of Wichita, was also injured in the collision. She was taken to St. Francis and has since been released from the hospital.
