Water advisory lifted for Valley Center
The boil water advisory for Valley Center was lifted on Saturday by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
The advisory was issued on Friday after a water line break caused a loss of pressure in the system, state officials have said. Failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.
Repairs to a fire hydrant have been completed, KDHE officials said Saturday. Laboratory testing samples indicate no evidence of contamination and the conditions that placed the system at risk are considered resolved.
