Local and state authorities investigating Beloit man’s death

A Beloit man found dead Saturday with an apparent head injury is the subject of an investigation involving three Kansas law enforcement agencies.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and the Beloit Police Department are investigating the case, according to a Facebook post from the Beloit Police Department.

The man’s body was found in the 400 block of East Court in Beloit shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday.

The agencies are waiting on autopsy results. The Facebook post said “there is no reason to believe there is a public safety concern.”
