Those who need a little extra warmth this winter season can pick up free coats, sweaters and blankets from the Salvation Army today through Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The “Warm Hearts Coat Distribution” will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7 at the downtown Salvation Army, 350 N. Market.

The Salvation Army asks that those in need of used warm-weather wear bring proof of ID for each member of your household.

If you would like to sign up for Christmas assistance from the Salvation Army, you will be able to do so during the coats distribution event. To be added to the list, bring proof of ID for everyone in your household, proof of income, proof of address and gift ideas for children ages 16 and under.
