Saturation patrol nets 20 seat belt violations
A seat belt saturation patrol conducted by two Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office reserve deputies yielded 20 violations in a four-hour period Thursday night.
The deputies initiated 17 traffic stops between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. and issued 12 adult seat belt citations and three driver’s license citations, Capt. David Mattingly said in a prepared statement. They also wrote up three insurance violations and one each of a tag violation, an equipment violation and a window tint violation.
They also issued two warnings. The saturation patrol was in addition to normal patrols, Mattingly said.
