The city of Wichita has information about debris removal after Friday’s storm and high winds.

Residents can drop off storm debris at Brooks Landfill, 4100 N. West St., north of K-96. Storm debris can be dropped off through the close of business Wednesday, April 8, at no charge. The city initially announced Tuesday as the last day but extended it Monday.

According to a news release on the city’s website: Brooks will only accept roofing materials, wood, wood products, wall or floor coverings, plaster, drywall, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, electrical components containing no hazardous materials and non-asbestos insulation.

The landfill is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, call the landfill at 316-722-0601. The city also encourages residents to contact their normal trash haulers for additional assistance with debris removal.
