Nebraska man killed in Clay County crash
A motorcyclist trying to pass a tractor trailer in a no-passing zone was hit by an oncoming car Monday morning less than two miles away from Clay Center in northern Kansas.
Curtis Scott, 43, of Auburn, Neb., was southbound on K-15 when he laid his 2000 Harley Davidson down on the highway around 8:30 a.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report. A 2015 Chevrolet Malibu struck and killed him in the northbound lanes. The crash involved a police pursuit, according to the report.
The 31-year-old Wakefield woman driving the Chevy wasn’t hurt, the report said.
