Tow trucks heading to Harvey-ravaged Houston
AAA Kansas has sent two tow trucks and four drivers from its Wichita fleet to Houston to assist in the clean-up from Hurricane Harvey.
The drivers will assist in “the removal of tens of thousands of flooded cars and trucks, now littering the landscape as the waters start to recede,” a statement released Friday by AAA.
The removal of thousands of flooded, undriveable vehicles will take “a Herculean effort,” Jennifer Haugh, manager of public and government affairs for AAA Kansas, said in a prepared statement.
Trucks will be packed with bottled water and other relief supplies.
