National Kidney Foundation to offer free health screening
The National Kidney Foundation is offering a free kidney screening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Downtown Wichita YMCA.
Participants will take health risk survey and have their height, weight and blood pressure measured, according to a news release. Those who are at risk will undergo an additional urine test to check kidney function.
A medical professional will review results.
According to the National Kidney Foundation, one in three Americans are at risk for kidney disease, and diabetes, high blood pressure, a family history of kidney failure and being over 60 are risk factors.
