Funeral Sunday for one of two cousins killed in Marion County crash
Funeral services will be this weekend in Texas for Caleb Neal, one of two cousins who died in a one-vehicle crash in rural Marion County last week.
Neal, 22, and Kameron Wiebe, 21, were killed early on the afternoon of June 30 when the vehicle they were in went off a gravel road, crashed into a utility pole and overturned, authorities said. Excessive speed was a factor in the crash, a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy told the Marion County Record.
Neal and Wiebe were scheduled to be groomsmen in a wedding on the Saturday after they died. Flowers were placed where the cousins were supposed to stand at the wedding.
The funeral for Wiebe was held Wednesday. A student at Calvary University in Kansas City, he was scheduled to leave this week on a mission trip to Mongolia.
Neal’s funeral will be Sunday in Waxahachie, Texas. He was a student at Texas Tech University.
