Two die in Marion County crash

Two people have died in a one-vehicle crash in Marion County, authorities said.

The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Timber Road, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The sedan was traveling north when the driver lost control on the gravel road, went into the opposite ditch and struck a utility pole.

Both people in the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Identifications are being withheld pending the notification of relatives.
