A 5-year-old boy reported missing late Friday night was taken by his babysitter, Wichita police said.

Officer Charley Davidson on Monday wouldn’t say why 49-year-old Celeste Culver took off with Jerimiah E. Marshall, but she was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of child endangerment and interference with parental custody after officers found her. Police took to social media early Saturday morning, asking for public’s help locating Jerimiah, who was reported missing by his 24-year-old mother after she arrived home in the 1100 block of South Pattie and couldn’t find or contact Culver or her son at around 11 p.m. Friday.

Officers found Culver after they spotted a black 2004 Cadillac Deville associated with her around Lincoln and Hydraulic, which is near the home on South Pattie. The boy was found safe at a home in the 1600 block of East Galena, near Hydraulic and MacArthur, Davidson said.

Culver remained in jail Monday in lieu of $25,000 bond, according to jail records.
