Saint Francis hosts nonviolent action advocate, author
Author and nonviolent action advocate Jack DuVall will speak from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Saint Francis Community Services, 4155 E. Harry, about the nonviolence movement and its impact.
Saint Francis, a community-based child and family services provider, is hosting the event to provide knowledge on the importance of nonviolent responses in times of trauma, a news release said.
Duvall, co-author of “A Force More Powerful: A Century of Nonviolent Conflict,” will meet with attendees and present his work as a nonviolence advocate.
A creator of the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict, Duvall has been drawing attention to nonviolence response practices for nearly two decades.
