Sheriff’s Office IDs man who died in dirt-bike crash
A Douglass man who died in a dirt-bike crash on Sunday as been identified, according to a news release from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.
Rusty A. Inkelaar, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene where two dirt bikes collided Sunday night in southeastern Sedgwick County, the release said.
Inkelaar was riding his dirt bike on East 143rd Street in the 5600 block, near Rose Hill, when it struck another dirt bike driven by Nicholas R. Ralph, 23, of Derby at about 11 p.m on Sunday. Ralph was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries following the crash, the release said.
Neither Honda dirt bike had working headlights, according to the Sheriff’s Office. This collision is still under investigation.
