Sheriff’s reserves to conduct seatbelt patrol Friday night

Buckle up, or it could lead to some March madness.

Sedgwick County Sheriff’s reserve officers will be conducting a seatbelt saturation patrol from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, Lt. Lin Dehning said. The patrol’s goal is to reduce the number of drivers not wearing seatbelts.

The saturation patrol will be in addition to the normal patrol responsibilities by deputies, Dehning said.
